Messen in Hennen (Knives in Hens) is a play by David Harrower, directed by Julie van den Berghe for NTGent.

For this play i have built a machine comprised of old leather working machinery, bicycle parts, a typewriter, and a Revox tape recorder playing a tape-loop, that actually propelled parts of the machine. This produced grinding and droning noises, which are amplified and played back through its horn.
